February New Members

February was a busy month for membership. We are happy to welcome Brian Loshbough, Marlin Oldaker, and Erich Nischan as new members. In addition, we were visited by several men who have had considerable experience singing Barbershop Harmony. We hope that these new members and all of our visitors catch the spirit of the ThunderTones that makes our chorus so unique.

Singing Valentines

The Singing Valentine Committee reported that 54 Singing Valentines were delivered this year. Everyone had lots of fun!

"Barbershopper of the Year" Award Re-Named

Our "Barbershopper of the Year" award is given annually to the member who exemplifies the highest
attributes of a barbershop singer. It is based on attendance, dedication and contributions to the Chapter. This year the chorus voted to re-name the award for one of our charter members who has served as President and Secretary. He was also the first ever recipient of the "Barbershopper of the Year" award. From here on, the award will be known as the "Rick Jackson Barbershoppor of the Year Award". This year's recipient is Bob Mauk. Thanks to Rick for his outstanding and lasting contributions to the ThunderTones and congratulations to Bob on his well-deserved award.
